Jose, a young man from a village in South America, embarks on a journey to the United States in search of a better life for himself and the love of his life, Lucia. The couple dreams of starting a new life, but upon arrival, Jose learns that the path to citizenship is fraught with obstacles. He landed in Los Angeles, a city that felt both alien and familiar at once. The promise of a better life whispered in his ears, but the reality was something else. Jose was a stranger in an unknown place and his Spanish accent is a constant reminder of his outsider status. He found a job at a construction site. Joe worked hard but he saved every penny. His chance came in the form of a flier. It was a risky proposition. Jose had heard stories and rumors of brutal training of young men losing their lives in distant wars. But the promise of citizenship was too tempting to ignore. He signed up. Once enlisted, Jose quickly realizes that military life is grueling and that the stakes are higher than he imagined. As part of a new initiative, the army is hosting a deadly training competition known as The Crucible designed to push foreign volunteers to their limits in a gladiatorial-like series of challenges. At the same time, Jose receives shocking news. Lucia has been abducted by military agents who want to use her as leverage to ensure Jose's compliance during the military competition. The news shattered his spirit. He had to win for not only his citizenship but also Lucia's life. His first task is to locate and activate three devices.
In this game, you will transform Jose who applied to the military to get citizenship. You will be assigned different tasks such as activating devices, defeating rivals, protecting people, engaging with the United States's experimental army of bio-engineered mutants, and so on. You need to run around and shoot down all the enemies who want to stop you from accomplishing your missions. Note that you can change to another weapon if your gun runs out of ammo.
