Interesting storyline

Six months after Sigma's defeat, the Maverick Hunters have dwindled to a quarter of their original ranks. They had to face a resurgence in Maverick activity. After X shuts down the factory, a new threat emerges. Eight SA-Class Mavericks wreak havoc around Hunter Base, manipulating weather and spreading the Maverick Virus. X confronts the X-Hunters who are Serges, Agile, and Violen. They have reconstructed Zero but need his control chip from Dr. Cain. They challenge X to duel for Zero's parts. Depending on player choices, X may or may not have collected these parts before facing the X-Hunters. After defeating them, he learns of Sigma's return. In the Central Computer, X battles Sigma's new form and the Sigma Virus. Ultimately, X and Zero reunite by the sea, restoring peace, but uncertainty about the future remains.
