Speed Stars is a rhythm-based game where you alternate between the left and right keys to move your athlete. Stay steady to keep up speed and avoid tripping.
Unlike many automatic sports games, Speed Stars requires players to actively control each step of the athlete. Specifically, you will need to alternately press the left and right arrow keys (or tap on both sides of the screen if playing on a phone) to move the character forward.
Each press corresponds to a step, so keeping a steady and accurate rhythm is extremely important. If you press too fast, the athlete can easily stumble and lose momentum; if too slow, the speed will decrease significantly. Therefore,
In hurdle mode (for example, 110m hurdles), you need to add an important operation: hold the down arrow key when approaching the hurdle. This action helps the athlete prepare for the jump.
At the right time, you need to release the key precisely to make a smooth jump over the fence without getting stuck. If you hold it too long or release it too early, the character will lose momentum or hit the fence, causing a loss of speed and possibly causing you to lose.
If you are new to Speed Stars, don't miss Free Run mode. This is the ideal place for you to practice without the pressure of time or ranking. You can freely experiment with keystroke speed, hone your reflexes and adjust the tempo according to your own playing style.
After each race, don't rush to the next one. Take some time to review the replay, a feature that allows you to track the entire run. Thanks to that, you will easily recognize slow, off-beat or stumbling sections, thereby gaining experience and gradually improving your performance after each play.
